Blog Your Heart Out

Random blog stuff:

I found some great tips on the web to enhance a blog for FREE. That's right FREE! I used many of these tips myself to jazz up my blog so you can see they really work. (LOL well I hope you think it looks nice)

So excuse me for saying so, I think a blog is simply more fun to read if it has some pizazz to it. Yes, content is quite important too. I kinda found this stuff as I was bumbling about and only wished someone had simply given me the easy card. You might not find any of this useful, like I said it's kinda random.

Here is my take, I figured why pay when I can put a little time into personalizing my blog.
Fine print, it will cost you your time. Actually it was quite fun personalizing my little blip in cyberspace. I figure that my blog is probably much like the community that was living on a clover flower in the movie Horton Hears A Who? That's ok, it won't stop me from blogging in the least. Anyway...

I'm sure there are ooodles of other free blog design sites that have great how-to tips & free wallpapers etc., but here are a few I've found along the way.

The Cutest Blog on the Block is a great place for free backgrounds and headers. They also provide blogging tips and extra resource links.

Shabby Blogs also has freebies available for you to customize your very own blog.

Shabby Blog's Blog has lots of easy instructions and tutorials on how to
  • Change your Navigation bar (top bar) options and even make it disappear
  • How to add post dividers to blogger blog postings
  • How to add custom signature to your blog posts
  • how to get your own "grab button" with code
and more. Best part is you don't even need expensive photo editing software. Open a Photobucket account and you are on your way!

Smitten Blog Designs is another but not everything is free. It seems that some of the free templates want you to do a tad bit more than add in a gadget with html code. Still they do have very nice free templates available.

Hot Bliggity Blog more free backgrounds with instructions. They also provide custom if you should opt to go that way.

... and one more I just found Scrappin'Blogs. Not a lot here but you might find something of interest.

I'm fairly new to the blogging world but enjoy every day I get to blog my heart out. I've met some great folks along the way too.

Recently I joined The Secret is in the Sause blog network. It's group of women bloggers dedicated to supporting one another. You will see the button to the left side of my blog. I've learned a lot from this site and found some great blogs to read along the way. Even gotten a few comments. It's amazing how something so simple can make my day :-)

If you have blog secrets, tips or great ideas feel free to drop a comment and share. As I mentioned I'm fairly new to blogging so I don't know all the tricks of the trade etc. I will say that since my very first blog post, I've been addicted. I get to encourage folks I've never met. Now that's true meaning of random acts of kindness. Personally it's been a great way to share and journal in real time :-)
Happy blogging!

PS A special thanks to all those who read my blog & leave comments ;-)
Thanks for riding along the journey with me!
