Well, My hubby to be and our daughter are irish and myself and my son who is from my first husband(he passed way)are brazilians, half and half :).

That's too funny because I just got a little budget bank for my soon-to-be 4 year old's birthday. I know that all of my budgeting know-how came from my parents teaching me young, so this is a great thing.
As for your April Fools, good job! I convinced my husband that the little chocolate egg on the floor of my daughter's room this morning was actually an escaped doodle from the diaper. Pretty funny if he wasn't getting into police mode to go to the gun range...sometimes April Fools jokes are wasted on LEOs! They take it too seriously!
